Atlanta, GA – Forest Investment Associates (FIA) is pleased to announce the following changes to its organizational structure effective February 1, 2016.
L. Michael Kelly, currently President and Chairman of the Board, will remain solely as Chairman of the Board. In this capacity, Michael will lead FIA’s five-employee Board of Directors, responsible for overall management and direction of both Forest Investment Associates and its subsidiary, AgVictus Capital Management. In addition, Michael will continue to chair FIA’s Investment Committee, serve on the Fund Management Committee and have a continuing role in marketing and client relations.
Marc A. Walley, currently Executive Vice President and Director of Timberland Management, will become FIA’s third President. As President, Marc will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities of FIA and will chair the Executive Committee. FIA’s six Vice Presidents and the Administrative Team will report to Marc. He will remain a member of the Investment Committee and the Fund Management Committee and will have a permanent seat on the Board of Directors.
Michael L. Clutter, Ph.D., currently Vice President and Director of Research and Investment Strategy, will become Vice President and Director of U.S. Investments and Operations. In his new position, Mike will head the Timberland Management Team, formerly led by Marc, and will be responsible for the management of FIA’s client timberland in the U.S. as well as FIA’s domestic portfolio management and research functions. He will remain a member of the Executive and Investment Committees.
The remainder of FIA’s executive team: V. Scott Bond, Vice President and Director of Marketing and Client Relations, Michael P. Cerchiaro, Vice President and Director of International Investments and Operations, Samuel R. Grice, CFA, Vice President and Director of Client Accounting and Finance, Christina D. Purcell, CPA, Vice President and Director of Corporate Finance, Human Resources and Compliance, and Charles L. VanOver, Vice President and Director of Real Estate Transactions, will remain in place and continue to serve on the Executive and Investment Committees. Matthew A. Whitley, President of AgVictus Capital Management, FIA’s agricultural investment manager, will serve on, and report to, the Board of Directors.
