Ricardo M. Boaventura
Assistant Director, Investments
Ricardo started with FIA in 2013 and currently serves as Assistant Director, Investments. In his role, Ricardo is charged with developing FIA’s timberland investment program outside of North America and more specifically its investments in Brazil and South America. He serves as a relationship manager with key corporate, industrial, family office, consultant and capital market players across the forest products sector to better serve FIA clients. To date, Ricardo has executed several complex timberland acquisitions, sales agreements, partnership contracts and land leases.
Ricardo has worked for multinational organizations, including Clorox and Cadbury/Adams in their respective finance departments. During his tenure with these firms, he led several cross-functional teams through a diversity of projects reaching across many aspects of business function including financial forecasting, business valuation, new product launch and enterprise resource planning implementation. Born in Brazil, he has extensive experience in both South and North American markets.
Ricardo holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of São Paulo University. He also attended the Accelerated Leadership Forum by Clorox and Deloitte in 2005 and 2006, and also studied Corporate Finance and Cost Accounting at the University of California, Berkeley.
